About Kristen Schwartz
When I was 16 I illustrated and designed my first business cards for a band called, The Hedgehogs. I tackled the workings of stat cameras and typesetting machines, but welcomed the dawn of the Apple Age with open arms, going on to gain illustration and design experience ranging from branding to book design.
My illustrations feature abundant technical skill in both black and white and color and range from being dream-like to having the clarity and attention to detail that lend my work to botanical illustration. I have been published in a variety of forms from books, magazines, newspapers, and internet, to event and company branding and collateral material.
My web design skills follow my illustration style and rest on a solid base of xhtml and css practices. These practices lead to clean elegant designs, strong search engine results and user friendly sites.
